Every year now in Basel, Switzerland there is a military tattoo, which is second only to the Edinburgh Military Tattoo. Massed Pipes and Drums, Military bands and military displays from across the world adding up to about 1500 performers take part over a period or two weeks. This year, after seeing my work with two pipe bands in Melbourne Australia (one of them being military) I have been invited to be the Drum Major of the Christchurch City Pipes and Drums at the Basel Military Tattoo this year. Thinking fondly of the once DEVIA crew, and hoping all is well with you Colonel Casey. :)
And you too dear lady. I would love to see you perform Captain Preston as a cosplay one day. I dare say you could pull it off superbly. It would be great to get the crew together again, but alas, we all seem to have drifted apart.
Well, I certainly have the hat as a starter! Vyse made one for me a few years ago and I still have it... somewhere. :) Yes, I guess life has a way of doing that to us all. It doesn't stop me from having little moments of nostalgia though!
